Covid-19
March 29 Update
The Del Valle ISD Board of Trustees removed the district’s mask requirement, effective Monday, April 4, 2022. The district continues to strongly encourage masking and will allow individuals who choose to wear a mask to continue to do so.
The decision is in alignment with the City of Austin and Travis County, which terminated all COVID-19 emergency mask orders.
Masks are a proven way to reduce exposure to Covid-19. The district asks that staff, students, and families be understanding and respectful of individuals who continue to choose to wear a mask. The district’s enhanced cleaning and disinfection processes will continue.
Please note, a masking requirement may be reinstated based on future recommendations from state and local authorities and district data.
Del Valle ISD continues to monitor local, state, and national guidance when making decisions on Covid-19 protocols and procedures. Please use the buttons below for detailed information on the district's plans for the 2021-2022 school year.
