Hello my name is Lilian Despujols Hernandez and I am the Art Teacher at Smith Elementary.  I have taught for 20 years and 16 of those years, I have taught Art. I graduated from Texas State University, formerly known as Southwest Texas State University.  I taught in Houston ISD for 2 years, and then went backpacking around Europe and Southeast Asia for a year and a half.  It was an experience of a lifetime that I will never forget.  I moved to Austin and taught elementary Art in Austin ISD for 9 years and taught middle school art in Pflugerville ISD for 2 years.  Now I am proud to say that I work in Del Valle ISD and feel like I have found my true home.
