Prior to joining the band faculty at Del Valle High School, Mr. Kaiser held teaching positions in Birdville ISD, the University of Texas at Arlington, and Antioch High School (Northern California), where his bands and orchestras were consistent sweepstakes contenders. He also served on the faculty of the Dave Brubeck Institute Summer Jazz Camp and as guest conductor for the UT Arlington Wind Symphony; University of the Pacific Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Alumni Band; Los Medanos College Chamber Orchestra; and Central Valley Youth Symphony. Mr. Kaiser is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, College Band Directors National Association, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Music Fraternity of America, and Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honors Society, and is a two-time honoree of Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. Outside of the classroom, he performs as a trumpet player in the classical, jazz, and musical theater genres; teaches weekly English classes to non-native speakers; and spends as much time as possible with his family.
