All three middle schools participate in UIL One Act Play
Our three middle school theater programs competed in UIL One Act Play this past weekend at Del Valle High School, where they were graded on their performances by state theater officials.
According to UIL region and state records, this is the first UIL Fine Arts contest held in Del Valle ISD. It's the second year Ojeda, Dailey, and Del Valle middle schools participate in the official competition, with scores sent to the state, officials from the Texas Theatre Adjudicators & Officials (TTAO), and awards given to participating groups.

1st Place: Ojeda Middle School - "Oz"
2nd Place: Del Valle Middle School - "Anon(ymous)"

DVISD has a great team of theater directors at each campus, leading the district to its first-ever Award of Distinction by the Texas Educational Theatre Association (TxETA) in June of 2024, and has many upcoming events planned for the 2024-25 school year, such as "High School Musical," a Renaissance Fair, talent show, and student-directed plays. DVISD Theater is a frequent request for surrounding universities' placements of student teachers due to the well-rounded education our faculty provides.
