More than 1000 Del Valle High School Juniors and Seniors explored some options for post-secondary education at a college fair held on campus Thursday, October 27. Representatives from around 70 colleges or universities, including some from out of state, were on hand to engage students in learning more information about their institutions.

“The recruiters are very nice and we’re getting a lot of information from them,” DVHS Senior Sierra Espinoza said. “It’s a good experience because we’re learning about the department or major we want to major in and getting more information that the college couldn’t tell us online.

Ricky Perez, the College and Career Advisor at DVHS pointed out that he and other staff members want to ensure that DVHS students have access to such information.

"We have a lot of good universities here and we’re just trying to expose them to a two-year, four-year education,” Perez said.

DVHS Students interested in receiving information about college can do so any time of the school year by visiting the College & Career Center on campus.
