Dailey Band Students Celebrate Music with Virtual Concert

Dailey Band Students Celebrate Music with Virtual Concert

Thanks to technology, the hard work of students and the creativity of staff, 100 band members at Dailey Middle School had the opportunity to showcase their talents with a virtual concert.

Led by Mr. Shawn Davis, Director of Band and Mr. Keaton Ainsworth, Assistant Director, the concert was live streamed last month. The concert was held on campus and included in person and virtual students who performed in sync.

“It was such a joy to see our students and parents attending the virtual concert and encouraging their peers!” Mrs. Waggoner said, DMS Counselor.

The students played songs from a variety of genres including “Bread Man” (jazz) and a reggae duet, “Wash Ya Hands.” The commitment from these 6th, 7th, and 8th grade band students is applauded. Despite the virtual learning environment, the kids were able to demonstrate their love of music.
