Academic calendar approved for the 2025-2026 School Year

On February 4, the Del Valle ISD Board of Trustees approved the District Advisory Team's calendar option A. The calendar received 65% of votes in the survey presented to families, staff, and community members.

Important dates

• First Day of School: August 11, 2025
• Fall Professional Development Day (no school for students): October 10, 2025
• Fall Break/F1 Days: October 17-20, 2025
• Thanksgiving Break: November 24-28, 2025
• Winter Break: December 20, 2025 - January 4, 2026
• February Professional Development Day (no school for students): February 13 & 16, 2026
• Spring Break: March 16-20, 2026
• Easter Break: April 3, 2026
• Last Day of School: May 21, 2026

Please note: The calendar includes an additional 5 minutes for elementary students, moving dismissal time to 2:55 p.m. on regular days, and 1:55 p.m. on Fridays. The Texas Education Agency has a minimum amount of time students must attend during the school year, and this adjustment will help proactively address potential shortages at elementary schools caused by bad weather or other calendar interruptions.
