Dr. Stacie Holiday announced as new Executive Principal of DVHS

DVHS families,

Beginning Wednesday, February 25, Principal Larry De La Cruz will transition to a new role with district administration in Del Valle ISD. Starting Wednesday, Dr. Stacie Holiday will serve as Executive Principal of Del Valle High School.

Dr. Holiday brings more than 20 years of experience in public education. She currently serves as Principal of the Opportunity Center and DAEP and, prior to joining DVISD this year, served as the Executive Director of Secondary School Leadership at Austin Independent School District. Her background includes leading campuses focused on student engagement, credit recovery, academic growth, and instructional improvement.

Throughout her career, Dr. Holiday has demonstrated a strong commitment to creating high-quality, flexible learning environments that support students at every stage of their educational journey. Her previous leadership as an Academy Director for Credit Recovery and Dropout Prevention in Austin will support continued growth in our instructional programs and campus systems.

Our goal during this transition is to provide stability, continuity, and strong instructional leadership for our students and staff. We remain committed to partnering with you to ensure every student’s success at Del Valle High School.
