Safety & Security Committee

According to Texas Education Code section 37.109, which was amended substantially in 2019 by Senate Bill 11, each school district must establish a school safety and security committee. By law, the committee must operate in accordance with guidelines from the Texas School Safety Center (TxSSC). Please click here to view additional information about the state's requirement.
