About Del Valle ISD Afterschool Programs
Del Valle ISD after school programs are available for students in Pre-K through 8th grade. Del Valle ISD offers programming under the federal 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant, administered by the Texas Education Agency's Afterschool Centers on Education (ACE).
Del Valle ISD ACE enhances student academic achievement, encourages family and community engagement, and empowers students to become productive 21st Century leaders.
Program overview
The ACE program in Del Valle ISD is a free, high-quality afterschool program available to all students across the district. Each day, students receive a dedicated hour of academic support, including homework help and tutoring, to reinforce learning and build confidence.
Beyond academics, ACE offers an exciting variety of hands-on enrichment experiences designed to spark curiosity and creativity. Program offerings may include chess, robotics, athletics, visual and performing arts, and more—providing every student a chance to discover new interests and grow their skills in a safe, supportive environment.
Participants also receive a nutritious dinner, and district transportation is available for students who need it.
Registration Process for 2025-2026 School Year
Returning Student Registration
Registration Window: May 15–16, 2025
Returning students will have priority to register during this window. Each campus will allocate 70% of seats for returning students. To secure your child’s spot:
-
You must complete the returning student registration form on May 15 or May 16.
-
Returning student registration will use a unique link and only be available via ParentSquare and flyer from your campus Enrichment Specialist.
-
Forms not submitted during the 2-day registration window, may lose their priority spot.
-
Parents of all eligible returning students will receive a flyer and communication through ParentSquare with the returning student registration form.
-
If a form is not submitted by the deadline, the student may lose their priority spot.
-
Families will be notified of their student’s status by May 30, 2025.
-
Selected students must confirm their spot by June 6, 2025.
Returning student registration will be taken in the order applications are received. There will not be a lottery selection. Once 70% of available seats are full, returning students will move to a waitlist.
New Student Registration
Registration Window: May 19–June 18, 2025
New students who have never participated in the ACE program are invited to apply during this registration period. The application link will be posted on the district website, social media, and ParentSquare on May 19. Each campus will allocate 30% of seats for students who did not participate in ACE during the 2024-2025 school year.
-
If more applications are received than seats available at any specific campus, a random selection lottery will be held.
-
Families will be notified of their student’s status by June 25, 2025.
-
Selected students must confirm their spot by July 11, 2025.
-
Students who do not receive a seat in the lottery will be placed on a waitlist.
Pre-K seats: Campuses will welcome between 10 and 20 Pre-K students depending on grant-required enrollment at each campus.
Waitlist
If the program reaches capacity once returning and new student registration is complete, a waitlist will be created and used when seats become available during the school year. The waitlist will be in a random order, by family.
