Compensation & Benefits
Pay for first-year certified teachers starts at $58,000 and increases with experience. DVISD offers a Master's Degree Stipend of $2,100 and Doctorate Degree Stipend of $2,350.
Generous stipends are available for student-educators, special education instructors, bilingual elementary teachers, those in secondary science and math and more.
All employee-only healthcare premiums are fully covered by the district with additional HSA and FSA contributions.
Affordable child care is available at the Child Development Center for children 0-5 and after school Cardinal Care for children in pre-k through Grade 5.
Substitute teachers earn between $130 and $160 per day with RNs earning $160 per day.

Non-teaching staff with a Bachelor's degree can obtain their teacher certification and the "Grow Your Own" program is also available for paraprofessionals, but is currently closed for this school year.
