LEAD Art Club students from Popham Elementary School took all four places in a poster design contest organized by the Caldwell-Travis Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD). This year’s theme, “Healthy Forests = Healthy Communities,” allowed students to create original works while learning about conservation and natural resources.

The winners are:

  • 1st place: Era Dempsey (3rd Grade)
  • 2nd place: Trinity Terrazas (3rd Grade)
  • 3rd place: Addison Washington (3rd Grade)
  • Honorable Mention: Zoey Hamilton (4th Grade)

The Popham students were recognized this month by two Caldwell-Travis SWCD board members.

The posters by Era and Trinity will advance to the SWCD State Area 3 competition. Judging takes place in late April.
