Mrs. Patricia Taylor, Parent Community Liaison at Dailey Middle School (DMS), was honored for her outstanding leadership and community service in education by the Austin NAACP during the 55th annual Dewitty/Overton Freedom Fund Banquet. Taylor has been the Parent Community Liaison at DMS since the school’s opening in 2010.

“Mrs. Patricia Taylor is the exemplar in coordinating resources for parents, students, and the community at large. She is adept in identifying needs and collaborating with partners to ensure services are provided,” said Jonathan Harris, Chief Communications and Compliance Officer, “As a role model for the team, she shares her expertise with others to ensure that not only the Dailey community is provided for but the entire Del Valle ISD community at large. The district is collectively excited to congratulate Mrs. Taylor on this recognition.”

The Dewitty/Overton Freedom Fund Banquet honors individuals for improving the quality of life for African Americans in Austin and their work and leadership in the entire community.
