Austin Community College (ACC) accepted four Del Valle High School (DVHS) Class of 2020 graduates into their Career Scholars Program. As program members, Angel Campuzano, Jason Medina, Clarissa Cortez, and Sara Fuentes-Garcia receive an all-inclusive scholarship to cover tuition, fees, and books to complete an associate degree in four semesters.

The ACC Career Scholars Program provides the students an opportunity to continue pursuing careers they began in the DVHS Career and Technology Education (CTE) Programs.

The Careers Scholars Program also provides an academic advisor, a mentor, a built-in learning community, and an opportunity for the Scholars to serve as a program ambassador. With financial and educational support, students will be more prepared to enter future careers with strong hiring and salary opportunities. This opportunity fully aligns with and supports current Del Valle ISD CTE program retention and recruitment goals.
