The Del Valle High School Belles and Cardettes competed in the American Dance and Drill Team competition held at East View High School. The Belles and Cardettes came back victorious with awards in the solo, ensemble, officer, and team competitions.

TEAM COMPETITIONS
The Belles won the Outstanding Team award, which is voted on by all the teams in attendance, and a Sweepstake; Gussie Neil Davis award; Judges award for their Jazz, Prop, Novelty and Hip Hop routines; a platinum award; first place overall in the extra small/small division and a Best of the Best award making them the WINNERS of the entire contest! The Belles also received a WOW factor award for their Team Jazz. The WOW factory award is given out for a limited number of dances and was awarded to 2 schools at the competition; Del Valle was one of those schools.

During the Academic Award presentation, the Belles and Cardettes secured a second-place win. The Cardettes also earned a Sweepstakes award, Judges award for their pom, Bronze overall award and came in second overall out of all the JV teams. 

SOLO COMPETITIONS
Five dancers advanced to the extra small/ small team division solo finals: Kassidy Gill and Makenna Macik for the JV division and Marley Moore, Sarah Keaton and Naya Martinez for the Varsity division. In the JV solo division, Kassidy Gill came in second place and Makenna Macik earned first place. In the extra small/small team division, Naya Martinez placed fifth, Marley Moore placed third and Sarah Keaton placed second. 

ENSEMBLE COMPETITIONS
The Belle Jazz company placed first in the medium ensemble. Cardette officers Captain Makenna Macik, Kacey Mendez and Sapphire Davidson placed first place in the small ensemble category. 

OFFICER COMPETITIONS
The Belle officers, consisting of Captain Kaylen Escobar, 1st Lieutenant- Naya Martinez, and Junior Lieutenants Sara Orozco and Qyrstin Ernul received a sweepstakes and Gussie Neil Davis award, Judges award for their Jazz and open routine, Gold overall award, placed first overall officer line in the extra small/small team division and second overall officer line out of the whole contest.
