Del Valle ISD held its inaugural DV Fest, on Saturday, Feb. 2, at Del Valle High School. The event featured free breakfast, specialized sessions, vendors tables for local partners and appearances from elected officials.
The entire Del Valle community was invited to attend DV Fest. The sessions Included: computer literacy, reading literacy, parental involvement, student support services, health & wellness, financial literacy and college readiness.
Elected officials in attendance were Texas State Rep. Eddie Rodriguez, Mayor Pro Tem Delia Garza, Commissioner Margaret Gomez and Constable George Morales.
Over 75 local area partners attended the invite to give information to our families. Partners included Dell Children’s Health Plan, College Forward, UT Children Wellness Center, Integral Care, Central Health, Capital Metro, Lennar Homes, RBFCU, BB&T, Austin Bold F.C. and more.
