The Del Valle ISD Education Partners hosted the Districts annual Teacher of the Year Banquet on Wednesday, April 25. The banquet, at Chez Zee American Bistro, to announce the winners for elementary and secondary Teacher of the Year awards presented by the Del Valle Education Partners.
The overall Elementary Teacher of the Year was Molly Gerson, Kindergarten teacher at Del Valle Elementary School. The overall Secondary Teacher of the Year was Rogelio Guzman, seventh grade teacher at Del Valle Middle School

The overall winners for elementary and secondary received a monetary gift. All Teacher of Year representatives also received a personalized award.
The Del Valle Education Partners program is designed to involve businesses and community groups in a collaborative partnership with the Del Valle schools to enhance each student’s educational experience. It is a non-profit organization that functions as an advisory group to the Del Valle Independent School District with the intention of supporting activities that will enrich or otherwise positively impact the education of students attending Del Valle ISD.
