St. David’s HealthCare contributed 100 backpacks with school supplies and more to the district on Friday, Sept. 29, to distribute to students throughout all DVISD campuses.
The see-through backpacks includes notepads, crayons, coloring books, reading material for all ages, puzzles, arts-and-crafts and basic toiletry items such as mouthwash, toothpaste and hand sanitizer.
“Our goal with the backpack is to bring joy to children by providing them with school essentials and fun items,” said Meg Moss, St. David’s HealthCare coordinator for special projects. “We, St. David’s HealthCare, value what Del Valle ISD has done for their students and we are truly honor to be associated as a partner with DVISD.”
St. David’s HealthCare was also involved with Food In Tummies (FIT) program with Baty Elementary School and Hillcrest Elementary School.
