Black History Month

Black History Month is celebrated during the month of February every year. Schools across the district will be uniquely recognizing and celebrating the culture, traditions, and contributions of African Americans during this time. At the February 18 School Board Meeting, Popham Elementary School will present a special performance for Black History Month, beginning at 6:15 p.m. at the Opportunity Center cafeteria. Early Voting Happening Now at the DVISD Admin Building from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Additional locations, hours, sample ballots and voting guides can be found on the Travis Country Clerk website. Registered voters may vote at any vote center in Travis County where a “Vote Here/Aqui” sign is present.

2019 Bond

The DVISD 2019 Bond was passed by voters on election day with 75% approval. This comprehensive proposal addresses safety, security, instruction, technology, and facilities. The recently approved tax rate decrease by the DVISD Board of Trustees will remain in effect with this bond proposition.

Del Valle ISD serves over 11,000 students on 16 campuses and works to do “Whatever It Takes” for their students. The district’s official mascot is the cardinal and the colors are true red and white.
