Consider and Act on Amendment of Sodexo’s Contract for the 2020-2021 School Year

The Board approved the amendment to the Sodexo Contract for the 2020-2021 School Year.

According to United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) guidelines of the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 (HHFKA), school districts are required to annually renew Food Service Management contracts for their Child Nutrition Programs. Sodexo is our current Food Service Management (FSM) vendor for our Child Nutrition Program. Del Valle ISD bid our FSM contract in 2017. The contract was approved for one year, with (4) one-year renewal options. This is the third of our four renewals. The attached amendment incorporates required changes to the original contract to include requirements of the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) and USDA. The fixed meal rate of $1.6925 remains the same as it is for the current year.
