Ultra Electronics Advanced Tactical Systems, a Partner in Education, recently made a donation to Smith Elementary. Every third through fifth-grade student received two books authored by Lowey Bundy Sichol. Students received copies of From an Idea to Disney, and From an Idea to Nike. Both books focus on teaching kids about business and entrepreneurship.

“I feel very happy that I got these two books. I am excited because I love reading and want to learn more about Disney and Nike because I like shoes,” said Rodolfo Mendoza, a third-grade student at Smith. “I want to tell everybody that worked on giving us these books ‘thank you for your beautiful work’ and thank you to the people who donated my books!”

The book sponsorship and delivery was a coordinated effort by Librarian Laura Cartier and Author Lowey Bundy Sichol. Bundy Sichol also stopped by the campus for a special visit where she encouraged the students to follow their dreams and keep reading!
