Students and staff at Collins Elementary School celebrated World Kindness Day by reading “A Little Spot of Kindness,” a book that teaches how to spread kindness at school and home. Each student received a sticker to spread kindness to others throughout the day and worked on writing assignments describing what kindness means to them. Trustee Ann Heuberger visited the school to spread kindness by reading to 3rd-grade students.
Perry Homes showed appreciation to the staff with a catered lunch, while and Randolph-Brooks Credit Union provided snacks at the afternoon staff meeting.
“Through collaboration, we can all celebrate kindness at different events with staff, students, and community partners,” said Denise Velasquez, the ParentCommunity Liaison at Collins Elementary.
