Students, families, teachers, and staff joined Communities in Schools for the annual Fall Garden Day at Dailey Middle School on Saturday, October 5. The event was an opportunity to strengthen a strong sense of community while learning about gardening. A representative from Green Corn Project provided an introduction to gardening, including instructions to care for a variety of plants such as cabbage, spinach, peas, cauliflower, swiss chard, broccoli, carrots, radish, turnips, and beets. The students and parents in attendance expressed excitement to continue involvement with the school garden all year.
