Peter H. Reynold’s book The Dot inspired Kindergarten through 5th grade art students at Popham Elementary School as they celebrated International Dot Day on September 15. The students created a school-wide collaborative art piece in the cafeteria. The Dot is about overcoming frustration and fear in all walks of life not just in art class.
Popham Art Teacher Allison Nix shares, that the impact of one little dot can have a ripple effect. “I encourage my students to always try their best and trust in their ability to learn, by doing so they will continue to become more confident, courageous, and creative individuals,” Nix said.
