A team of Del Valle ISD staff members and Sodexo employees volunteered at the Central Texas Food Bank on Saturday, April 27, to support Sodexo’s Servathon month.
During the event, Del Valle ISD staff members packed 11,520 pounds of produce to serve 9,600 community members.
“We love to assist with Sodexo and Central Texas Food Bank for the community,” said Child Nutrition Director Karen Kovach. “We all had a great time, and everyone said they would love to do it again!”
DVISD staff members that were in attendance included Director Karen Kovach, Assistant Director Marja Wallace, Food Service Manager Marysol Ledesma, Director of Transportation Anne Hatton, Child Nutrition Executive Admin Erika Benitez, Child Nutrition Administrators Gloria Montgomery and Fred Johnson.
