Third-grade students from Collins Elementary School held a history “wax” museum showcase on Thursday, March 7, by researching and portraying historical figures.
Students learned about historical figures biographies, created posters and performed a small speech about the person they were assigned. The project enabled students to use periodic research to enhance their literacy skills.
“The wax museum was a great project to help students learn about world-history leaders and figures,” said Denise Velasquez, Parent Community Liaison. “The students’ hard work paid off and they had fun presenting their figures.”
