Del Valle High School students performed a show for their peers on Monday, Feb. 25, at the high school auditorium to celebrate Black History Month.
The event was coordinated by Del Valle High School students for Del Valle High School students and staff.
“My heart was full after the show because the students worked hard during after-school rehearsal,” said Assistant Principal Leah Mercer. “The auditorium was packed and teachers were impressed with the group of students.”
Students also performed a liturgical (praise) dance, a step performance, the song “Where is the Love” by Black Eyes Peas and also narrated slave stories.
