Two Del Valle ISD middle schools achieved a Mayor’s Health & Fitness Council exemplary rating, and Dailey Middle School was an honorable mention for the Mayor’s Healthiest Schools award held on Friday, Sept. 14, at Austin City Hall.
Dailey Middle School and Ojeda Middle School were the only two schools representing Del Valle ISD.
The Mayor’s Healthiest School award highlights schools that have implemented healthy changes to create school environments that support the health and well-being of students. Schools that demonstrate practices above the state and federal standards are eligible to earn an award. Awards are granted at the elementary and middle school levels.
