Holiday Card Winner

A Baty Elementary School student won the 2017 Del Valle ISD Holiday Card with the theme of Season of Giving. This year’s card was mailed out to parents, teachers, staff, Board of Trustees, DVISD Education Partners and Del Valle community members.

5th grader Ayden Lopez created a masterpiece showing two cardinals holding a banner with the saying Season of Giving. Under the banner, is an image of people from all walks of life holding hands in unity.

“We are so proud Ayden Lopez for representing Baty Elementary in such a positive light,” said Baty Principal Jennifer Garcia. “He’s a hard worker inside and outside the classroom and his artwork exemplifies the spirit of the holidays.”

Each year, students throughout the District participate in a holiday contest to create personalized artwork based on a theme provided by the communications and community relations department.

“I can not more proud of my son, Ayden, he has accomplished so many things this year,” said Kristen Rodriguez, Ayden’s mother. “

Ayden Lopez wanted to thank his mom and grandmother for always supporting him because they are his motivation. Ayden also wanted to wish everyone in Del Valle ISD Happy Holidays.
