Del Valle ISD is proud to announce that the Del Valle Child Development Center (DVCDC) has earned an accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)—the world’s largest organization working on behalf of young children. NAEYC Accreditation is a system that uses a set of 10 research-based standards to ensure a high-quality early learning environment.

“We’re proud to have earned the mark of quality from NAEYC, and to be recognized for our commitment to reaching the highest professional standards,” said Director Scott Wille. “Our mission at the Center is to enrich the lives of the children in our care. We provide a safe, healthy, positive learning environment for our children. We are committed to creating responsible citizens that will be productive in a global society.”

In the 30 years since NAEYC Accreditation was established, it has become a widely recognized sign of high quality early childhood education. More than 7,000 programs are currently accredited by NAEYC—less than 10 percent of all childcare centers, preschools and kindergartens nationally achieve this recognition. The DVCDC is among the nation’s best and brightest top performing schools.

Kristen Johnson, senior director of Early Learning Program Accreditation at NAEYC said earning a NAEYC Accreditation makes the Del Valle Child Development Center an exemplar of good practice for families and the entire community.
